The first generation 2 series was to be BMW's replacement of the outgoing 1 series coupe and convertible. The 2 series was formally introduced to the motoring press at the North American International Motor Show in 2014 with sales beginning in March 2014. The 2 series gained rave reviews from motoring press and customers alike, honing its sleek looks, high tech infotainment system and ease to drive putting it ahead of rivals such as the A3 cabriolet. Our example is fitted with the 2 litre 230i engine that replaced the 228i in 2016, the 230i is the range topper for the petrol 2 litre units with an power output of 248bhp which twinned with the smooth automatic transmission would go from 0-60 in just 5.4 seconds putting it up there with the likes of the 981 Porsche Boxster but with the benefits of having 2 extra seats, whether that's for passengers or extra boot space you decide.
