Ever Since 1986, With The Introduction Of The Mighty BMW E30 Model From The BMW Factory, The M Division Has Offered Us Some Of The Most Exciting High Powered Vehicles And When In 2014 At The 2014 North American International Auto Show In Detroit, This Ultra New Beast Being The F80 Was Never Going To Disappoint The Eager Global Buyers And The Worlds Motoring Press. This Again Was Of Course Going To Be Yet Another Successful Chapter At The Regensburg Assembly Line And Once Again Gave The Likes Of Audi With The RS Brand And Mercedes With The AMG, An Epic Headache, As This New Addition Was Definitely Going To Please On Every Level. For The First Time BMW Decided To Only Offer The F80 As A Saloon, Which Initially Raised A Few Eyebrows, With The Aggressive Body To Be Made With A Mixture Of Steel Panels, A Carbon Fibre Drive Shaft, Aluminium Components And A Carbon Fibre Exterior Roof Line, All Moulded Together Creating This Super Car Looking Stance, Which Can Only Be Described Visually As A True Master Piece. As A Standard Factory M3, These Cars Are Viewed As Being Legendary In The World Of Performance Cars, Causing Enthusiasts To Gush When Given The Chance And Under The Bonnet Is A Twinned Turbo Three Litre Inline Six, That Generates A Massive 425 BHP With 406 lb-ft Of Torque, Making A Glorious Sounds All The Way To Its 7500-rpm Red Line. All This Power Should Have Been More Than Enough For The Normal Of People, But Lets Be Honest The Normal M3 Driver, Is Far From Being Normal, Hence Why The Factory Then Gave Us The Competition Model In 2014. Power Was Increased To A Whopping 444 Brake Horse Power, Which Would Easily Mean That Both Driver And Passengers Could Accelerate From 0-62 MPH In Just 4.0 Seconds, Would Completed A Standing Quarter Mile In An Astonishing 12.1 Seconds And Would Then Climb Further To An Electrically Limited Top Speed Of 155 MPH. This Extra Power Was Controlled With Revised Suspension Items For Better All Out Handling, Which Included Adaptions From The Factory To Include Adaptive M Settings, A Re-Tuned Electronic Differential And Dynamic Stability Control, Designed To Match The Upgraded Hardware And Give The Driver A Well Balanced And Perfectly Controlled Drive. The Main Option For Clients To Consider Was The Fabulous Severn Speed M-DCT Transmission, Which Gave A Quicker Gear Change Response Than The Standard Six Speed Manual Box, With The Difference Being 0.2 Of A Second Quicker, Which Does Not Sound A Lot In Principle, But As We All Know Quicker Is Ultimately Better All Round.
