The Jaguar F Type, The Spiritual Successor To The Famous E Type Was Offered As The Replacement For The Jaguar XK, With The Coupe Version Introduced At The 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Jaguar As A Company Wanted This New Model To Be Massively Dramatic On A Visual Level, But At The Same Time Needed The Now Dated XK To Be A Very Distant Memory To Both New And Old Clients To The Jaguar Brand. Jaguar As A Manufacture Has A Wealth Of Historical Past Racing Heritage, Along With Being Able To Offer Some Of The Most Desirable And Distinctive Cars Of All Time And This New F Type Model, Was Not Going To Disappoint The Eager Buyers. For 2017 Jaguar facelifted the F-Type adding only subtle changes to the styling on both the interior and exterior of the car as well as updating various bits of technology on the car and the infotainment system. The old car’s rounded grille has been carried over to the new model but the air intakes to either side have been remodelled to feature new horizontal bars and a cleaner, simpler design. The updated headlights now feature full-LED technology offering not only a sleeker design but also better visibility at night. Changes to the interior come in a range of various trim options now available as well as the updated infotainment system. One of the major changes to the cabin comes in the form of the newly designed seats, which was 8kg less than those in the older cars which in the grand scheme of things means more room for performance.
Our car is fitted with the 5 litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 550bhp and when equipped with the all-wheel-drive system will race from 0-60 in just 4.0 seconds. Twinned with the ZF eight-speed transmission the F-Type offers a comfortable and smooth drive when cruising along but with a flick of a switch and the dynamic mode activated it turns into a completely different monster, and has what must be one of the best exhaust notes out there.
