Project 7 was originally unveiled as a single-seater, open-top concept car at Goodwood in 2014. Since then, as well as adding an extra seat and a roof, state-of-the-art design techniques have been used to make the car as dynamic as possible. The end result, as experienced by only 250 privileged owners, is a stunning modern motoring icon. Project 7 was inspired by Jaguars proud racing past. Its name is derived from the seven times Jaguar has won the famous Le Mans 24-hour race. Three of those historic wins came in our iconic 1950s D‑type, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. The brief to our designers was to conceive a modern-day D‑type. F‑TYPE Project 7 is the exhilarating result.
"The Project 7 concept car captures the essence of Jaguar’s racing heritage in its purest forms. It's a stunning celebration of passion, team spirit and the designing process itself. It's a true Jaguar... It's a new classic!"
