AMG was founded as a racing engine forged in 1967 by the former Mercedes engineers, Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, with the letters "AMG" standing for Aufrecht, Melcher and Großaspach (aufrecht's birth town). Now owned by Daimler Mercedes, this special brand is a high-profile purveyor of modified Mercedes vehicles, adored by drivers and feared by other manufacturers. Like all past Mercedes Benz models, some would end up having this powerful emblem attached, three mighty letters that would instantly offer that ultimate bold statement, with any AMG model to be bought purely on passion, rather than worrying about silly things like running costs and over the years this prestigious branding is loved and adored by the purist of drivers. The fourth-generation C Class code name W205 or A205 for the Cabriolet model was formerly introduced to the world at the 2015 Frankfurt auto show, with those clever engineers and designs at the production plant in Bremen, developing new ways on making this a fresh look on a much-loved model. The all new body structure is significantly lighter than past C-Class vehicles, with the use of aluminium and high end strengthen steel extensively throughout the body, resulting in a 100-kilogram (220 lb) weight decrease and when combined with an AMG power house, we truly have something very special indeed. The C63 Cabriolet is fitted with the same 4.0L V8 as the estate, saloon and coupe that produces 469bhp and 479 ft/lbs of torque enabling the C63 Cabriolet to shoot from 0-60 in just 4.1 seconds with a limited top speed of 155mph, making this a remarkably quick car with the roof up or down.
